The 2026 Venus retrograde asks everyone to reconsider questions of love, value, attraction, money and reciprocity. For Dawn, however, the cycle lands across one of the most personal territories of the horoscope.
She has 24°59′ Scorpio rising, with natal Uranus at 5° Scorpio, North Node at 12° Scorpio and Moon at 20° Aries. Her Taurus relationship field contains her Sun at 7°42′ Taurus and Jupiter at 7°40′ Taurus, while Venus, Mercury and Chiron cluster in late Aries. The Scorpio–Taurus polarity already forms a major axis in Dawn’s natal story: self and other, autonomy and partnership, what I am and what I attract, what I value and what I share.
Venus stations retrograde around 8° Scorpio almost exactly opposite Dawn’s 7°42′ Taurus Sun and 7°40′ Taurus Jupiter. That makes this considerably more than a generic relationship review. Venus is asking Dawn to reconsider the relationship between identity, expansion, worth and partnership.
As Venus retrogrades through early Scorpio, she also moves across Dawn’s natal Uranus at 5° Scorpio. This is not simply about recovering an old definition of love. Uranus suggests that the old definition itself may no longer be viable.
Venus begins Dawn’s journey almost exactly opposite her natal Sun–Jupiter conjunction in Taurus. Sun–Jupiter naturally wants life to become larger; Venus asks what Dawn believes she must give in order to continue receiving love. Scorpio and Taurus are fixed signs. Both can hold: Taurus holds what it values, while Scorpio holds what has emotional consequence. Sometimes that creates tremendous loyalty. Sometimes it makes it difficult to recognize when loyalty has become attachment to a pattern. The Five of Cups allows disappointment to be acknowledged without becoming an identity. The work is not simply to revisit pain, but to recognize what belief about the self was constructed because of what happened. The Third Quarter Moon supports release — not necessarily of a person, but of the old contract.

Write: “I learned that love required me to…” Then: “I no longer need to become ______ in order to belong.” Keep the paper for the Venus Star Point.
Once something has been released, a space opens. The New Moon does not require Dawn to have solved the retrograde; it asks her to choose the principle by which the rest of the journey will be measured. Justice asks for truth rather than accommodation: What is balanced? What is reciprocal? What belongs to me, and what belongs to someone else? The goal is not independence instead of intimacy. It is intimacy that can accommodate independence. Self and relationship are allowed to possess equal reality.

Place Justice between two pages: WHAT I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PRESERVE and WHAT I ACTUALLY VALUE. Notice what appears on both lists.
This is the center of Dawn’s initiation. The Venus Star Point occurs in early Scorpio, in Dawn’s 12th-house territory, approaching natal Uranus. The 12th house takes the process underneath conscious identity: inherited patterns, unconscious material, endings, surrender, spiritual life and aspects of ourselves that are difficult to see directly. Death becomes the threshold. The question is no longer simply what should change in relationship, but what version of the self is finished. Uranus adds awakening: there may be another way.

Retrieve the Portal I statement. Add: “That agreement belonged to the person I was.” Then complete: “The person I am becoming knows that love can…”
Mercury now enters the initiation. For Dawn, Mercury stations around 21° Scorpio in her 12th house and moves toward her Scorpio Ascendant as the retrograde unfolds. The Seven of Cups — Venus in Scorpio — distinguishes intuition from projection, possibility from fantasy, memory from present reality, fear from information and desire from evidence. Then Venus retreats into Libra. The work turns toward reciprocity: Can Dawn relate to another person without abandoning what she discovered about herself? The Full Moon illuminates what the Scorpio descent has uncovered.

Divide a page into: WHAT I KNOW | WHAT I HAVE ASSUMED | WHAT I NEED TO ASK. The third column turns Scorpio investigation into Libra relationship.
As Venus prepares to turn direct in Libra, she moves back toward the territory opposite Dawn’s natal Venus at 24° Aries. The journey that began opposite Sun–Jupiter ends by asking something more purely Venusian: What does love mean to me now? Natal Venus in Aries needs vitality, authenticity and enough independence for desire to remain alive. Venus in Libra reminds Aries Venus that independence and partnership do not have to cancel one another. The Empress closes the path because she does not earn value; she embodies it. The New Moon shortly before the direct stations allows Dawn to seed the new relationship model before living it.

Turn over the paper from Portal I and write: “I AM AVAILABLE TO RECEIVE…” Then complete: “Love that allows me to…” “Partnership that encourages me to…” “Abundance that supports me in…”
